Down Tor

£12.50

A delicate, floral herbal tea made with whole chamomile leaves.

The delicate honey soaked taste of late summer is captured perfectly in these bright, whole flowers. Dried slowly to retain their essential oils, the flavour is pure and so calming.

Loose Leaf or Bio Pyramids?

This tea is available in our beautiful bio pyramids. Our biodegradable tea pyramids are suitable for composting and are completely free of microplastics. Made from a material called SOILON which contains lactic acid derived from corn starch, they are completely biodegradable and decompose within 30 days.

The dangers posed by microplastics on the environment are well documented. What people are less aware of are the staggering amounts of microplastics present in most tea bags. When steeped in hot water, they release billions of microplastic particles into the mug, each one the size of a grain of pollen.

So when buying our teas, whether in loose or pyramid form, you can do so safe in the knowledge that our tea bags and packaging materials are completely biodegradeable and free of microplastics.

If you choose only one Tor to visit on Dartmoor, then make it this one. The views are stupendously breathtaking and the Cairn Circle and Stone Row near perfect examples.

Erected by our ancient brothers and sisters to symbolise, worship and protect, one is awe struck that these ancient formations still stand with such vigor.

We like to imagine that Chamomile tea - a drink of the ancients - may have been sipped here as a rest from their daily grind.
