Eagle Rock

£8.50

Extraordinarily flavoured Darjeeling from the second flush period with a finely balanced character.

Grown high in the Himalayas, our Darjeeling tea has a musky sweetness and offers such fragrant afternoon refreshment.

Light and refreshing, it is easy to see why this tea is so famously referred to as the Champagne of teas.

This tea is traditionally enjoyed without milk as it is so light and aromatic. Of course lemon or milk can be added, but do try first without.

Loose Leaf or Bio Pyramids?

This tea is available in loose form or in our beautiful bio pyramids. Our biodegradable tea pyramids are suitable for composting and are completely free of microplastics. Made from a material called SOILON which contains lactic acid derived from corn starch, they are completely biodegradable and decompose within 30 days.

The dangers posed by microplastics on the environment are well documented. What people are less aware of are the staggering amounts of microplastics present in most tea bags. When steeped in hot water, they release billions of microplastic particles into the mug, each one the size of a grain of pollen.

When purchased in loose form, this tea is sealed within a biodegradable cornstarch pouch. So when buying our teas, whether in loose or pyramid form, you can do so safe in the knowledge that our tea bags and packaging materials are completely biodegradeable and free of microplastics.

The eerie solitude, combined with the outstanding beauty of this Dartmoor rock might have been the perfect habitat for the golden eagle in another lifetime.

Called Lucky Tor on the map, the rock stands back from the waters of the rumbling river Dart on a glade which receives only the faintest sunlight due to the tall, deciduous trees that surround it. Unexpected and spectacular, this spot has a lost, aching familiarity.
