The spot where this Tor resides was once a prominent location during Dartmoor's stannary days. So much mining was undertaken in this area that the Tor that was, has mostly been obliterated.

Still, the views are immense as you gaze across the mire. Take a flask of sweet rooibos, sit in the long grasses and consider the endless, meandering distance.
