The beautifully named Conies Down sits within an area full of archaeology and history. Not the most spectacular outcrop, it redeems itself with a lovely view that sweeps down to the Cowsic River, as it picturesquely wiggles towards Two Bridges.

It's a marshy old hike so be prepared with a change of footwear, and a double helping of a favourite cake with a hot flask of Conies tea.
