Such a lovely name. We think it is just beautiful. Although the hill itself is a little unspectacular, it redeems itself with the fabulous ghostly stories that surround it .
The view is lovely from the top of Merripit as you gaze southerly towards Yar Tor and Hameldown. It's a lonely old hike though to get there, so pack a favourite cake and a steaming flask of rose tea.
